En Un estudio de paisaje se abordan, desde los problemas y las especificidades de la representación, una gama de preguntas sobre el entorno y nuestra relación con la cuestión ecológica y con el mundo material.

Esta propuesta de instalación inmersiva, en la que todo se estará transformando constantemente, surge a partir de dos observaciones resultantes del aislamiento por el que atravesamos debido a la pandemia del COVID-19. Durante este tiempo de momentos altamente retadores por causa de los confinamientos, la mayoría de las medidas implementadas intentaron cuidar a los humanos fomentando comportamientos individualistas y alejándonos los unos de los otros para prevenir el contagio. Por otro lado, el primer año de la pandemia despertó en muchos una conciencia ecológica renovada al ver, por ejemplo, cómo la desaceleración de la vida cotidiana le daba cabida a animales no humanos que volvían a ocupar espacios urbanos, donde por mucho tiempo habían estado ausentes, y cómo esta misma desaceleración bajaba los índices de polución ligados a la producción industrial.

Un estudio de paisaje brinda un espacio de reflexión sobre las formas en las que la producción artística puede informar y promover la restauración de los vínculos sociales que se desdibujaron durante la emergencia sanitaria, así como sobre los efectos de los hábitos de vida y producción humanos para el medio ambiente.

In A Landscape Study a range of questions about the environment and our relationship with the ecological question and the material world are addressed from the problems and specificities of representation.

This immersive installation proposal, in which everything will be constantly transforming, arises from two observations resulting from the isolation we are going through due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time of highly challenging moments due to the confinements, most of the measures implemented tried to take care of humans by encouraging individualistic behaviors and keeping us away from each other to prevent contagion. On the other hand, the first year of the pandemic awakened in many a renewed ecological awareness by seeing, for example, how the slowdown in daily life gave room for non-human animals to return to occupy urban spaces where they had long been absent, and how this same slowdown lowered pollution rates linked to industrial production.

A landscape study provides a space for reflection on the ways in which artistic production can inform and promote the restoration of social ties that were blurred during the health emergency, as well as on the effects of human living and production habits on the environment.

Project carried out by the LSZ collective, formed by Paulo Licona, María Adelaida Samper and Gabriel Zea. In December 2024 Licona leaves the collective and Samper and Zea continue with the collective's project operating under the name Aliens.institute.
